What is Moving for Krislund?
It is a Virtual Walk/Run/Bike event where we are asking our supporters to move for Krislund and raise money based on how many miles you go! What better way is there to support camp than getting outside and moving to raise money?
Because this event is ran virtually over a month you can feel free to do your moving at your own pace! We highly encourage our participants to get with friends and family and move together with the community that supports Krislund! We are hoping to do some sort of event to wrap up the fundraiser so stay tuned on what that may be!
Why Run? Why Donate?
This will be our second year running this fundraiser. Last year our goal was to raise $10,000 and we raised just over $30,000! We had over 60 Movers and almost 100 supporters! This year our goal is set at $25,000. I think we can do it!!!
These funds will be used to continually grow our mission here at Krislund. We strive to provide a space for all people to Encounter God, Build Relationships, and Experience Creation. The funds will go into further development of Krislund programming, as well as further infrastructure and development of the property to better serve both our campers and year round guests. We will also be putting a percentage towards scholarship opportunities for our campers! Here is the breakdown of where the funds raised will be going this year.
25% towards Krislund's Future (Endowment/Investments)
65% towards property and program development
10% towards Krislund Scholarships for summer 2022
GETTING STARTED
Below are the different ways that you can be a part of this fundraiser!
We have three ways to participate and you can do one, two or all of them.
OPTION 1: You can sign up to be a mover. This is where you will create a page for yourself and then go out and get supporters that will sponsor you for $X per mile moved. They can also do a one time donation amount to your fundraising page! You can set personal goal amounts that you want to raise as well as keep track of all your donations!
OPTION 2: You can donate to help us reach our goal!
OPTION 3: You can support a mover! Here you can look up participants that either have reached out to you to support or search for someone that you want to support. You can check up on how movers you are supporting are doing to reach the goal that they set for themselves.
